Ernest Hemingway

The short story “A days wait”, written by Ernest Hemingway we meet a dad and his son Schatz, a nine-year-old who got influenza. The short story is a classic Hemingway text because it is written without loads of adjectives and in a very direct way. In other words, we can say that he wrote his literature in a very specific way.

One was to bring down the fever, another a purgative, the third to overcome an acid condition.

The dialogues in his texts are usually very short (2-5sentences), therefore the reader always knows what is happening.   Bilderesultat for ernest hemingway
